Meet Our Founder

Roneka was born in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1983. Her interest in politics was sparked at an early age, inspiring her educational and career choices. She earned a B.A. in international studies from Emory University and an M.A. in political science from The Ohio State University.

Roneka taught Political Science and African American Studies at the College of Charleston for six years. She also worked as an elections official during the 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2024 elections. These experiences ignited her passion for civic education. She founded Civics 4 All with the mission to share the information she taught students in her American Government classes with as many people as possible.
